[PHENOMENA] Here comes the Sun
« on: October 30, 2011 »
Here's the finished (hopefully) version of Here Comes the Sun, an entry from myself and NeriakX for the Phenomena compo.

YOUTUBE LINK

SOURCE CODE (VS2008 C++)

It should be more stable than the previous builds and it's certainly a lot smaller :)

A big thanks to NeriakX for the tune and the help with this. Thanks also to everyone for helping out with the initial testing too!

Demo and screenshot should be attached to this post. I'll capture a video tomorrow and post that for those not able to run the demo. I'll post the sourcecode too, after the compo has finished. Not sure what use it'll be though, unless you're planning on using it for a seminar on "how not to structure code" ;)

p.s. I've cleaned up this thread a bit and removed some of the old posts relating to previous test versions. I hope no one minds.

If anyone has any questions about anything in the demo, I'll be more than happy to answer them.

Cheers,

Raizor

One word: Awesome!

Works well on Win 7 64 and Radeon HD 6650M ( Yep I got a decent laptop now which  I can even use it myself sometimes when my gf isn't playing The Sims 3...  ::))

Well done guys!  But you should have made it all in black and white!  ;)

Top lighting effects and peaceful, spacey music.

This is what the Demo Scene is all about.

Great presentation, I really like the font and the fadey in stuff.  Makes me realise I need a new PC ;)

Thanks Shockwave. Yeah, it seems to have turned pretty well, neriakX's tune is a big part of that I think :)

Any idea what gfx card you're using Jace?

Can you try replacing the "sunspotsPass2.fs" in the shader folder with the one attached to this post. Hopefully that will sort the issue for you.
